My name is Dayanath Royaza, proudly rooted in an Indigenous community from the Chittagong Hill District. I earned my Master’s degree in Sociology from Kurukshetra University, Haryana, India, driven by a deep commitment to understanding and addressing social inequalities. With two years of teaching assistant experience, I strived to inspire students, support educators, and foster collaborative learning spaces. My 1.5 years as a Project Officer strengthened my dedication to serving marginalized and vulnerable communities through impactful programs and advocacy. - Promote the cultivation and preservation of traditional crops that are resilient to changing climate conditions.
- Support local farmers in growing and adapting indigenous crops with a focus on sustainability and biodiversity.
- Implement and promote sustainable agricultural technologies to enhance soil fertility and improve crop yields without harming the environment.
- Ensure farmers have access to knowledge, training, and resources to implement sustainable practices effectively.
- Strengthen the resilience of local food systems against climate change and natural disasters.
- Promote the sustainable management of natural resources (soil, water, biodiversity) used in agriculture.
- Integrate indigenous knowledge and practices into modern sustainable technologies.
- Foster the adoption of climate-smart agricultural technologies that address the effects of climate change.
- Organize awareness campaigns, workshops, and community events to educate people on the importance of sustainable agriculture for future generations.
- Advocate for policies that support the revival of traditional crops and the adoption of sustainable agricultural technologies.
