Sokkhomota: Strengthening institutional capacity of Zabarang to effectively advocate for and represent the diverse needs and interests of Grassroots Peoples

Goal: To strengthen Zabarang’s institutional capacity and resilience by enhancing leadership capabilities to effectively advocate for and represent the diverse needs and interests of Grassroots Communities.

The specific objectives:

  1. To create a modern, secure, and sustainable work environment that maximizes efficiency, productivity, and employee well-being by upgrading physical infrastructure, modernizing technology, implementing sustainable energy solutions, enhancing security measures, and improving data management systems.
  2. To establish a resilient, efficient, and transparent organizational framework that ensures financial sustainability, enhances staff and volunteer capacity, optimizes program implementation, and diversifies funding sources to support long-term growth and impact.

 Expected Results:

  1. Enhanced Physical Office Facilities: Upgraded physical office facilities to provide a more functional and comfortable workspace.
  2. Optimized Working Environment: Improved the overall working environment to boost productivity and employee satisfaction.
  3. Well-Equipped Meeting and Training Room: Established a meeting and training room equipped with modern amenities and technology.
  4. Menstrual-Health Friendly Facilities: Created a healthy working environment by including washrooms that support menstrual-health management for women staff members.
  5. Efficient and Sustainable Energy System: Implemented an efficient and sustainable energy use system to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
  6. Enhanced Office Security and Data Protection: Improved office security measures and established robust data preservation and security protocols.
  7. Enhanced Knowledge and Awareness: Staff members and Executive Committee members of Zabarang have acquired essential knowledge and information on development concepts and initiatives, including a comprehensive overview of the historical progression and current trends in the development field.
  8. Increased Understanding of Organizational Policies: The level of understanding among staff members and Executive Committee members of Zabarang regarding organizational policies and their roles and responsibilities has significantly increased.
  9. Developed Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Framework: Zabarang has developed a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning framework to facilitate the smooth running of organizational activities.
  10. Improved Financial Management System: The financial management system of Zabarang has been enhanced to ensure more efficient organizational management, including the implementation of a digital financial management system using Tally software.
