Project Goal and Objectives:
Project Goal: the goal of the project is to Protect 15 Village Common Forests of Khagrachhari District
Purpose of the project: The capacity of VCF dependent communities strengthened to conserve the Village Common Forest (VCF) and its resources for sustainable development
Project Activities:
1. Situation Analysis and Resource Mapping on VCF Status
2. VCF management committee formation/reformation
3. Boundary demarcation meeting
4. Bimonthly meeting for VCF management committee at VCF level
5. Observe International Day on Bio-diversity
6. Observe World Environment Day
7. Training on GPS operating system for the field staff
8. VCF Mapping through GPS Coordination
9. Pillar Installation in the 15 VCF boundaries
10. Display Board with Location and area information
11. Awareness raising training on Climate Change and Preparedness to Disaster Management
12. Training on Women Participation in decision making process
13. Financial Management Training for VCF committee leaders
14. VCF Management Plan Formulation workshop
15. Training on Participatory Monitoring and evaluation process
16. Quarterly Meeting with KHD VCF Network
17. Financial management and organizational development training for VCF network leaders
18. Training on Climate Change and Preparedness to Disaster Management (2 days)
